Simone Findlay

Simone has been in the field of early childhood education for over 20 years and has her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Social Behavior. She has worked as a lead teacher, director, child advocate, trainer and early interventionist. Simone has been a college instructor since 2010 teaching Child Development course at Napa and Solano Colleges.  While living in Hawaii in 2015-2016 Simone was full time faculty at Honolulu Community College and ran one of their 3 NAEYC accredited lab schools.  

Simone is a mom of preschool age twin girls and has lived in Napa on and off for 12 years.  She loves traveling, camping and being outside.  She also enjoys cooking and has been a vegetarian for almost 25 years.  Simone’s husband Jason has fully supported her dream of opening her own school and created most of the items in our outdoor classroom.  After having twins in 2018 Simone’s 20 year dream of opening a school became a goal and 2 years later has become a reality.

Astrid Creano

Astrid was born and raised in Napa. She knew she wanted to work with children since she took her first Child Development class in high school. Later, Astrid went to pursue her A.S. in Child and Family studies at Napa Valley College.

Astrid worked for 2 years with the Napa County Office of Education leading a youth program for young girls in middle school and high school. Later, she worked with toddlers for 5 years and enjoyed learning alongside them. Astrid went on to work for the Napa School District where she worked as a para educator with various age groups in the classrooms.

She is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys crafty projects.

Jocelyn Ramirez

Jocelyn has lived her whole life in Napa, born in St. Helena and raised in Napa. She has always had an interest in working with children but was not exactly sure in what field until she took her first child development class in Napa Valley College as part of her general education requirements. She enjoyed learning how important a child’s early years are for development and their health. Jocelyn was placed at Seasons of Wonder as a Student Teacher to complete her Practicum and has now  joined the team as an Assistant Teacher. Spring 2023, she will be receiving her AS-T in Early Childhood Education. 

During her free time Jocelyn likes to spend  time with family and friends. She also enjoys being outside, traveling and visiting new places. She loves that Seasons of Wonder gives her the opportunity to spend most of her days outside while also working with children. 

Stephanie Guzman

Stephanie was born and raised in Napa. Coming from a big family, with many little cousins, she has always enjoyed being around children. After teaching English to 6-11 year olds in the Dominican Republic for a couple of weeks, she was set on becoming an early childhood educator.

She graduated from Vintage High School in 2020 and furthered her education at NVC. Stephanie recently graduated from NVC in Spring 2023 and received an AS in Child & Family Studies. She is fluent in English, Spanish and proficient in French! She loves to bake, watch shows, spend time with family & friends and hopes to travel more in the future!

Stephanie is proud of her Mexican American heritage and the diverse experiences she has had because of her culture. Furthermore, she believes in the importance of fostering a child’s sense of belonging, imagination, and eagerness to explore the world, and hopes to do just that at Seasons of Wonder. She is delighted to continue building wonderful relationships with the SOW children and families!
